At the local level, government, civic, non-profit, and private efforts are often blended
together to provide more comprehensive information services. Links in this section attempt to focus on
government organizations. The Explore Minnesota sections are good starting points for general community information and networks.
Other Publicly Supported Minnesota Institutions and Initiatives
The state, federal,and many local governments provide some support to
various public and non-profit institutions. Below are a set of links to
on-line services of those "public" institutions. The actual on-line
service may or may not be supported directly with public funds.

The Minnesota State Band is the only remaining State Band in the nation. It follows the Sousa tradition in programming both current popular and symphonic music, along with a wide variety of musical selections for its audiences each year. - Zoo, Minnesota
The Minnesota Zoo is situated on 500 acres in Dakota County.
